Knee Contusion
A knee contusion is a bruise from direct trauma to the knee. Most heal within 1–2 weeks with conservative care.

Symptoms
- Pain at injury site
- Swelling and bruising
- Stiffness
- Tenderness to touch
Treatment
- RICE — rest, ice, compression, elevation
- NSAIDs
- Gradual return to activity
When to See a Doctor
- Unable to bear weight
- Severe pain or visible deformity
- Joint locking or giving way
- Persistent symptoms after 2 weeks
