1. About these terms
"iSymptom", "we" and "us" mean the operator of the website at isymptom.com. "You" means anyone who visits or uses the site. These terms work together with our medical disclaimer and privacy policy.
2. Educational use only
iSymptom provides general health information for education. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not create a doctor-patient relationship. Always seek the advice of a qualified health professional about a medical condition, and never delay or ignore professional advice because of something you read here.
If you think you may have a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.
3. How the content is produced
Our guides are drafted with the help of artificial intelligence, checked by automated tests, and edited by the site operator. They are not reviewed by physicians. We work to keep them accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that any content is complete, accurate, or up to date. See About iSymptom.
4. Using the site
You may read, print and share links to iSymptom pages for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:
- Copy, republish, sell or redistribute substantial parts of the content without our written permission
- Scrape, crawl or download the site in bulk by automated means, other than standard search engine indexing, or use the content to train commercial AI models, without our written permission
- Interfere with the site's operation, security or advertising, or try to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Present iSymptom content as your own or as professional medical advice
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose
Short quotations with a clear link back to the source page are welcome.
5. Intellectual property
The text, design, logo, page layouts and organization of iSymptom are owned by iSymptom or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws. The name "iSymptom" and its logo may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.
6. Advertising and third-party links
The site shows ads served by Google AdSense and links to other websites. We do not control and are not responsible for advertisements, advertised products, or the content and practices of third-party websites. Any dealings you have with advertisers are between you and them.
7. No warranties
The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, iSymptom and its operator will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, or from reliance on any information on it. This includes any decision you make, or do not make, about your health. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless iSymptom and its operator from claims arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.
10. Changes to the site and these terms
We may change, suspend or remove any part of the site at any time. We may also update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the site's operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
