Dandruff
Dandruff is a very common scalp condition involving white flakes and sometimes itching. It is usually caused by seborrheic dermatitis — a mild inflammation often triggered by Malassezia yeast and oil production.

Treatment
- Medicated shampoos — alternate or rotate:
- Zinc pyrithione
- Ketoconazole
- Selenium sulfide
- Coal tar
- Salicylic acid
- Leave shampoo on for 5 minutes before rinsing
- For stubborn cases, topical corticosteroid lotion
