When to Seek Urgent Care
Seek urgent care for muscle pain with:
- Cola-colored urine (rhabdomyolysis)
- Severe muscle pain after intense exertion
- Muscle pain with significant weakness
- Muscle pain with rash and breathing problems
Self-Care
- Rest the affected muscles
- Gentle stretching
- Heat or cold therapy
- OTC pain relievers
- Adequate hydration
- Massage
