Overview
Behçet disease causes blood vessel inflammation throughout the body. Symptoms include recurrent mouth and genital ulcers, eye inflammation (which can threaten vision), and various skin lesions.
Treatment
- Topical corticosteroids for ulcers
- Colchicine
- Systemic immunosuppressants for severe disease
- Biologics (anti-TNF, apremilast)
