Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) is darkened skin that appears after inflammation or injury, including acne, eczema, or trauma. More common in darker skin tones. Fading takes months, but treatment can speed the process.

- Niacinamide
- Chemical peels and laser (with caution in darker skin)
