Epidermoid Cyst

Epidermoid cysts (often miscalled 'sebaceous cysts') are common benign cysts that form under the skin. They are filled with keratin, usually painless, but can become inflamed or infected.

Treatment

  • Drainage and antibiotics for infected cysts
  • Don't try to squeeze — increases inflammation and recurrence
